For over a decade, Philipp Johann Thimm has been quietly shaping and igniting musical explorations in and around Berlin.

A multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, and producer, his work moves effortlessly between live concerts, theater, art installations, film scores, and audioplays.

From his early band Abby (later evolving into Gheist) to his long standing collaboration with Apparat, Philipp’s sound has continuously evolved. In 2019, he and Sascha Ring received a Grammy nomination for LP5, followed by prestigious awards for their soundtrack to Capri-Revolution.

In 2023, Philipp released his acclaimed debut solo album Birds Singing Till The World Ends — a deeply personal work that sparked an ongoing wave of live performances across the globe. Most recently, he unveiled an immersive full length evening experience, blending sound and light into an otherworldly spectacle that has become a celebrated fixture of Berlin’s art scene.
